[The Handmaid is doing her best to support the Summoner, considering he's a good deal larger than her and she's pretty certain her injuries are worse than his. She's more worried about him, of course, because he's capable of dying.

Oh and he's her moirail or something that too.]

[Of course he won't. He wouldn't do that to anyone, much less his dear stubborn moirail. But he's keeping her distracted from the worst of the stitching pains, and it is always fun to tease her about these things]

[Chuckles, and just like that, he's done, tying the string off and severing the extra with his teeth]

There. You're fine now. Stop whining. [Just taping a quick bandage over the top and there you go! Perfect. Smiles down at her, relief obvious in his eyes]

[She blinks up at him, the barest of smiles on her face.]

I wasn't whining, stupid.

[Ahhhh, that smile is good enough for him, and he finds himself grinning despite it all]

You were absolutely whining. You wouldn't even, say please...!

[Also incoming, he is now going to lay down next to her!!!]

[She scoots over, trying and failing to hide a grimace as her stitches pull. She hesitates for a second, then reaches for his hand.]

You don't know what whining is.

You are mistaken. I've learned to recognize it, now that I spend so much time with, a certain uh, moirail... that I could name.

[His tone is teasing in every way, but there is a distinct note of fondness underneath it, and he takes her hand a second later, knitting his fingers between hers. He'll just... ignore the grimace for now, moving even closer so that she might not try that particular move again]

[She rolls her eyes and snuggles against him, wrapping her arms around his waist.]

Maybe I whine so much because I have to worry about you constantly.

[uprisings]

[Pauses a moment, just to sigh and let all these good snuggly feelings roll through him. Winds an arm around her shoulder]

I have told you...! I can, take care of myself.

[entropied]

[She relaxes, tightening her grip on him. After a second or so, she nuzzles against him shyly.]

Then I guess you don't need a moirail, do you?

[uprisings]

[lkasdf... LKJSLDKFJL huffs, pressing his face into hair and nuzzling back]

That's not true, and you know it.

[Good, at least he can't see her face, because there is a definite blush going on.]

[She wonders if he knows how much it means to her, that he's so patient and caring when it's the last thing she deserves. She considers telling him, but her heart skips a beat and all she can manage is a nod.]

[Aww... He imagines he knows, at least a little bit, what she's thinking. Of course, it always bothers him a little when she has something to say and doesn't tell him, but... it is a process. It will always be a process, especially with people as roughed up by life as they have been]

[Rubs a thumb over the nearest curve of her horn, pleased]

[She scowls, swatting at his hand half-heartedly. Even if she likes the attention, she still has to pretend to hate it.]

Next time, you run your ridiculous plans by me first. Got it?

[Chuckles and moves his hand away, and rubbing her back instead. It's okay, Handmaid, you can relax around him!!!]

That one wasn't, that ridiculous. It would've worked...! If those uh... couple a guys, hadn't appeared out of nowhere at the end...

[That seems to pacify her, and she relaxes against him, leaning into his touch.

But he's not off the hook!]

[GOSH why you gotta be so morbid ); That actually catches him off-guard and he presses his face into her hair, tensing ever so slightly. Only for a second though and then he's shaking his head, smiling instead]

I wouldn't have died... You were, there to help.

[Her heart skips a beat again at that comment, but she feels him tense. She tightens her grip instinctively and frowns again.]

What if I hadn't been?

[...then he'd probably still be fighting them. Or he'd be beaten unconscious by now. Hmm... He will never say either of those things though]

[Rubs her back a little harder. It's okay, Handmaid, it's okay]

I probably would have uh, come up with a better plan. [LKDJFLJ teasing a little]

[SHE'S SO FRUSTRATED but the backrub is so nice! Why do you do this to her, Summoner?]

Ughhh, you are impossible!

[uprisings]

[Stops the back rub long enough to pap her and murmur: ]

Shoosh, Coleta. We're fine now.

[And then he returns to the backrub, just... listening to them breathe, hoping she might get... un-frustrated if he keeps it up sldkjf]

[She lets out an irritated huff, but unfortunately his moirail powers are working and she is relaxing. After a moment or so of hesitation and second guessing, she scoots up to kiss him on the cheek, then buries her face in the crook of his neck so that he doesn't have to see her blush. Despite all of her irritation and scolding, she really is glad he's safe.]

[Oh gosh, it's good she buried his face right after that because he's the absolute derpiest smile on his face after she kisses him. And a second later, he kisses the side of her head, and nuzzles against her. His voice is quite soft]

I'm glad you were there though.

[entropied]

[She gives him the barest of nods, tracing the line of bandages on his back absently.]

You still got hurt.

[uprisings]

I've had worse.

[Shifts a little, pulling away and moving his shoulder slightly, trying to shift her hand onto the smooth, unbroken skin above that bandage]

It's okay. I promise. I won't, die either.
