[When you're dead and set to spend the rest of eternity in a dreambubble, there is a lot of downtime, which might explain why the Handmaid is pouring tea for the Psiioniic right now. Scratch taught her a lot of things like this, things that she never used or paid attention to, much to his chagrin. Generally, that meant that she wouldn't be doing this at all, just out of principle, but none of that really seems to matter anymore. And anyway, the Psiioniic was probably the one to ask for tea in the first place. She settles down next to him, handing him a mug.]

[He doesn't know. Maybe...]

I'll be okay. I jutht... want to keep my clothesth on.

...I'm sorry.

[Wow. She is really, really good at messing things up, isn't she? She nods, mentally berating herself for pushing so far. She hadn't even been heading in that direction. Had she?

...Okay. Maybe she had been, subconsciously.

So she sneaks another kiss, but making him uncomfortable means she's a bundle of nerves again, so it's more of a peck this time than anything else.]

[A peck is okay. He can... handle that. He's so pathetic, and not in the good way. He can't even do something like this for someone, he's a freak and not worth anyone's time.]

No, it'th not you...

[It's him, it's all him.]

It's me.

It's okay.

[She gets it. Really, she does. After a second or so, she adds softly:]

Do you want me to keep massaging your back? It just... Seems like you need it.

[She hopes he doesn't think she's pushing him. She just... Wants to make him happy, and that did seem to make him happy.]

[... ]

It did... feel very good.

[He shrugs, except instead of lowering his shoulders again, he keeps them up, and tense.]

I jutht don't want you to thee my thkin. It'th... dithguthting.

[She leans into him, shaking her head.]

It isn't. But I don't have to see it.

...Alright.

Should I turn around?

[It would definitely be easier.]

If you want to.

[Wordlessly, he turns around on the couch, to face his back to her. ]

[She lays her hands on his back hesitantly, still half-afraid she'll ruin everything, again. When she rubs his shoulders this time, it's much more gentle.]

[It's less that the scars themselves hurt... they've long since healed. But the trauma of them being in the open is more the problem, something he can't help but have a sudden reaction to for all the sweeps he's had them, of being told how disgusting they are.

But when she lays her hands on him again, he returns to the feeling of being completely at peace.]

[She relaxes when he does, sighing softly, and taking the chance of kneading at his shoulders a little more forcefully now. It's kind of amazing how tense his muscles are.]

[Aaaand we're back to a few minutes ago of melting completely and groaning against her touch. Feels good, man. Feels so good.]

Ahh...

[She lets herself smile, mostly because he can't see it, and works her way to between his shoulder blades.]

Better?

[He rolls his shoulders and shivers a little.]

Much...

[God, he is just suddenly unabashed with these sounds, huh.]

[Totally, but she's not complaining. She leans forward as her hands slip to his lower back, resting her chin on his shoulder. It's odd how much she craves being close to him, and when she responds, her voice is quiet.]

Good.

[He leans back against her, wanting to touch her all of a sudden. Like a weight's been lifted off of him, at least momentarily.]

I'm glad.

Me too.

[After a second or so, she trails her fingertips up his spine, back to his shoulders.]

[And predictably, he shudders.]

Oh...

[Every time he has a reaction like that, her heart skips a beat. She sighs contentedly, fingers running down his sides this time.]

[He laughs-- just a little, just slightly, and without real sound. It's just a movement of a giggle without the air being breathed out or the sound being made.

Accidentally ticklish?]

[Oh god that is ridiculously adorable she should really not be finding anything adorable. She stops, looping her arms around him and nuzzling against his neck.]

[He's in enough of a good mood now that he can actually nuzzle back.]

Do you want me to do the thame for you?

[She blushes all over again when he nuzzles her back, then pauses, considering this for a moment. Why not, right? So she nods, a little shyly.]

[He nods, motioning for her to turn around.]
