Training! - TW for abuse/self-harm etc etc
The Handmaid's training was carried out by Doc Scratch, who served basically as her lusus. All of her life has been pretty miserable, but this section was the worst. She hates Scratch, and the two argued often, which generally ended with Scratch "punishing" her. This consisted of anything from throwing her across the room to suffocating her. As the Handmaid can't die because of Lord English's curse, this abuse could be particularly violent, though Scratch generally avoided anything that would leave marks--Lord English's servant had to look presentable, after all! However, he also seemed to be able to negate whatever damage he inflicted, so when she was particularly rowdy he most likely wasn't against breaking bones and just reversing the damage later.

The Handmaid was ridiculously angry at this point in her life. She knew that the way she was being raised wasn't normal, and often tried to escape. Of course, it's hard to escape from an omnipotent being, so she pretty much stewed in her misery. It wasn't uncommon for her to take out this frustration on herself in whatever way she could, always hoping that somehow she would actually die. Of course, she never did.

Sadly, the point when she thought she'd finally escaped before first meeting Lord English was probably the happiest in her life ahahaha. Scratch obviously kept her isolated, and not only educated her in normal things like reading and writing, but also manners (not that she ever uses them), and subtle methods of manipulation. It wasn't out of the ordinary for her to find herself somewhere completely unfamiliar at random, and be expected to make her way back. He also taught her how to use her clockwork majyyks, but more on those later. She was educated in various Alternian languages and dialects, as well, so that she could fit in in whatever time period she needed, and also had regular history lessons not only about Alternia, but about events before the scratch and SBURB, as well as the trolls that would play the game in the future.

The Handmaid was never given a name, to ensure she would feel like a tool and not a person, and be even more convinced of her inability to escape her fate. She slept in a bed, not a recuperacoon, which meant she had nightmares regularly and left her extra unstable and temperamental.

Servitude!
While Doc Scratch enrages her, Lord English terrifies her. He's much more powerful, and can do the one thing she fears--preventing her death. Despite this, under Lord English she had much more freedom than during her training, because though she was always following orders, she often spent time away from him. At first, she tried to rebel against him as she did Scratch, but Lord English was much less willing to put up with this and it didn't take long for her anger to turn inward and become a sort of quiet, desperate resignation.

She officially became his Handmaid when she was about 7 sweeps, and her role in history earned her a secondary title among her people as the Demoness. Lord English quickly became known as a personification of death, and the Handmaid as his helper. However, she also had much more subtle roles, and her manipulation of history and of her race's evolution was done largely in the background. She influenced people to make the worst choices rather than killing them herself, and this was much more effective and made for much more lasting changes.

But, the Handmaid still hated every second of it. She wanted out of their "deal", and knew the only way she could do that was to die. So, she did everything she could to annoy Lord English subtly, until finally he decided to get a new Handmaid in the Condesce.

Quadrants!
This will be a short section because the Handmaid has never been in any sort of quadrant with anyone. Lord English made damn sure that she never got attached to anyone. When she was first starting out as his handmaid, she ended up getting too close to someone and he... Made her kill him fkdsjfkjafsd. SO, basically, she is closed off to everyone at all times. She is a very good manipulator, though, and can make people think she's interested. She's pretty foxy, man, so she's had more than a few trolls fall for it, making them much easier to manipulate and coerce. Because of this, and because of the various societal downfalls she's been privy to, she largely thinks romance is a weakness. Part of this, though, is sort of a defense--she doesn't think she deserves to have anyone care for her, so it's easier to think of the quadrants as pathetic.

Moirallegiance is basically the only one she'd work in at the moment. She needs some crazy pacifying, not only for her incredible PTSD issues but for her temper, violence, and her extreme death wish. Any kismessitude she'd be in would be largely unhealthy, even by blackrom standards, and redrom is just riiiight out of the realm of possibility until there's some crazy development.

Abilities!
The Handmaid has the same basic abilities that Aradia has--she can hear the voices of the dead, but Scratch and LE didn't think it was particularly useful and so taught her to suppress it. LE's curse also grants her immortality and makes her impossible to kill. She also heals quickly--not quite as fast as, say, Wolverine, but she can recover from most damage in a week or so.

She can also use Clockwork Majyyks, which are not an innate ability but one she was taught by Scratch. These give her the ability to time travel and also allow her to use telekinesis, meaning that she can hover/fly, etc. She can also channel her majyyks in the form of energy blasts, which are particularly painful. Whenever she uses these majyyks, a flashing aura appears around her, which cycles through blue-violet-black-green and yellow, and makes a soft crackling sound like electricity. Her eyes also flash, as well, much like the Psiioniic's. She requires her wands to use her abilities, though, and she must either be holding them or in control of them with her telekinesis.

Effects!
Because the Handmaid was the cause of Alternia's descent into violence and strife, she has a very low view of her race. She thinks the lowbloods are pathetic more often than not, but finds the highbloods particularly disgusting, and considers their arrogance pathetic. After all, they're not in power for any inherent genetic reasons, but simply because Lord English decided to put cool bloods higher up on the social ladder than warm bloods. Generally, she is good at fitting in when she needs to, but in the Tower where subterfuge doesn't matter anymore, she sticks out like a sore thumb because she is obviously disrespectful and disdainful to those higher up on the hemospectrum than she is. Clearly this would have gotten any normal troll killed sweeps ago, so it's sort of an obvious tip off.

She does have a grudging respect for the various revolutionaries that have popped up over the course of Alternia's history, though. They're the only ones who have been brave enough to stand up to the bullshit that is Alternia's culture, and as she actually gets to know the trolls in the tower, she'll start to feel incredibly guilty about stamping their efforts out.

But as much as she hates her people, she hates herself more. Being raised the way she was wasn't exactly a boost to her self-esteem, and this is compounded by the fact that if trolls are violent, bloodthirsty savages, she thinks she's the worst of all. She's why they are the way they are, isn't she?

She still has a tendency to injure herself when she's particularly stressed, but this has tapered down a bit. Now she tends to take out her anger by picking fights with other trolls or beasts, and destroying things.
